Two Surrey firms have combined, with top 75 firm Taylorcocks, based in Farnham, merging with Daymar, which is based in Guildford and was looking to expand its taxation services

Taylorcocks, ranked at 69 in Accountancy’s Top 75 league table of firms in 2016, was established in 1992 in Portsmouth and has with over 100 employees across 10 offices, with a fee income of £7.5m.

Simon Howell, partner of Taylorcocks, said: ‘I am delighted that Daymar will now be working with Taylorcocks and it is exciting to be working with the great clients that Daymar has looked after for so many years. Taylorcocks is growing at a fantastic rate and we are delighted to be in a position to provide Daymar’s clients with a wider range of specialist services that will no doubt benefit them in both the short and long term.’

David Pugh, director at Daymar, said: ‘We decided to seek a merger with another firm because we believe that a larger organisation would allow us to provide a wider array and more depth of knowledge in the increasingly technical world of accountancy taxation.

’We conducted an extensive search to find the right firm for Daymar to merge with and it was clear from the start that Taylorcocks shares our values and has the right ethos and ambitions to make us a good fit. We can now combine our capabilities to continue our tradition of providing an excellent service to our clients, whilst also offering new services that we are looking forward to discussing with our clients.’

Both practices are currently working on the various aspects of the merger and say have begun the integration process for clients to make the merger as seamless as possible.
