Cyber attacks and financial liquidity biggest risk for auditors

The threat of cyber attacks, data security and financial stability are top priorities for internal auditors, with climate change well down the list of key risks and concerns

The Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors’ (IIA) latest Risk in Focus report shows that around nine in 10 organisations are not committing major time and effort to preparing for the rising risk of climate change, and is calling on business to act now to avoid disruption in the future.

Their top concerns relate to cyber safety, changes to law and regulations, and cash flow and financial liquidity, and are their priorities as the economy starts to recover from pandemic trading.
