End of the run for Berks-based Williams Press printer

Carl Jackson, partner, and Andrew Watling, director of restructuring specialists Quantuma LLP have been appointed as joint administrators to Williams Press (Berks) Ltd

The company, based in Maidenhead, was established in 1973 and started out as a specialist litho printer. It recently moved into commercial printing, producing brochures, catalogues and other literature, including the programmes for the 2014 Wimbledon Championships.

Williams Press went into administration on 23 December 2014 and the company has ceased to trade. However, it is understood that magazine and print contracts have been transferred to alternative suppliers. For some months, the printers had cashflow problems, and was issuing invoices via a factoring service.
