Tameem Choudhury, a former finance assistant at leading breast cancer charity Breast Cancer Now, appeared at the Royal Courts of Justice on 1 September, where he was sentenced to two years and six months in prison after pleading guilty to fraud and money laundering offences.

The court heard that Choudhury, 29, from Stoke Newington, ‘exploited his position within the charity's finance team’ to intercept a refund payment worth £91,966 that should have been returned to Breast Cancer Now from the NHS. He then used the money to fund a 'spending spree' that included paying off debts, financing his wedding and honeymoon, and buying a £14,000 Alexander Brown wedding ring (pictured).
