Since the 1950s, AI has been a key aspiration of computer scientists – and it seems this futuristic vision is becoming a reality. Dystopian science fiction has always threatened that the robots will take over, but the outlook for the accountancy profession has far more potential.

AI will bring many opportunities for the profession, but only if we embrace the revolution and understand the best ways for humans and computers to work together.
