Top 40 accountancy firm Bishop Fleming has moved its Plymouth office to the city's waterfront, relocating its 40 staff to Salt Quay House in Sutton Harbour.

Debt solution provider Harrington Brooks has appointed Nicola Beamish as finance director with a remit to deliver an enhanced strategic and commercial influence on the business. Beamish joins from LBM Direct Marketing and previously worked as group financial controller at Lookers plc.

Duff & Phelps Corporation, global valuation and corporate finance advisor, has announced the promotion of managing director James Palmer in its London office. Palmer, who qualified with PwC, has over 13 years of experience performing valuations of business enterprises, debt instruments, equity securities and intangible assets.  

Business consulting and internal audit firm Protiviti UK has appointed Susan Brownlie as a director within its financial services industry regulatory practice.  Brownlie, who was a partner in KPMG’s regulatory services practice, has held a variety of senior compliance roles in the banking industry, most recently as head of regulatory projects at HSBC Bank and previously as head of group regulatory advice and liaison at Royal Bank of Scotland.

John Hood has been promoted to partner at Gabelle, having joined as a director when the firm was established in 2011. Hood has over 20 years of professional experience advising professionals and their clients on how to resolve all types of HMRC enquiries and investigations. He previously worked for BDO and Chiltern Plc and began his career working at HMRC. 

Creston has appointed Kathryn Herrick as chief financial officer of the group and member of the Creston board. Herrick joins from technology firm Equinix where she was vice president finance for EMEA and has worked in regional and global finance positions within WPP and Interpublic, having qualified at PwC. Former Creston chief operating and financial officer, Barrie Brien, is named as group chief executive.
