SAP wins £275m contract to overhaul HMRC IT systems

HMRC awards multimillion pound IT contract to SAP to transform critical tax and revenue systems and replace legacy infrastructure not supported after 2027

SAP won the 10-year HMRC contract valued at £275,366,367after a competitive tender process conducted by HMRC in line with the public sector procurement framework in line with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015..

With HMRC IT systems creaking and in urgent need of replacement with its existing SAP infrastructure at least 20 years old and based on a 2006 version of SAP, the IT modernisation is even more important as after 2027 support for current version will not be available due to its age.
