CapGemini wins £500m contract for HMRC phone system overhaul

HMRC awards multimillion pound contract to CapGemini to manage rollout of a brand new telephony and contact management system

Outsourcing giant CapGemini has been given a 10-year contract, worth £500m, as implementation partner and software vendor for HMRC’s new Contact Centre as a Service (CCaaS) system, the long awaited and much anticipated overhaul of its outdated, legacy phone system. The 10-year contract is valued at £500m excluding VAT, with the option to extend, but full details are not yet available pending final tcontract sign off.

CapGemini is already a major supplier to HMRC as specialists in consulting, technology services and digital transformation.
