The Charity Commission has completed an investigation into financial irregularities and governance failures at the Kingdom Church GB in April 2020, resulting in striking off six trustees and dissolving the registered charity.

The investigation was first launched following reports that Camberwell based Kingdom Church GB was promoting an oil product falsely advertised as ‘protection’ against covid-19 which had no scientific basis at the start of the pandemic.

At that time, there were three trustees recorded on Companies House of which two, Bishop Climate Wiseman and Dr Jennifer Irungu, were husband and wife, which raised concerns about the trustees’ ability to manage conflicts of interest. The organisation was set up in 2009 and still operates as a church with live donation pages.
