Liz Cuthbertson CA, CTA is private client partner and tax specialist at Mercer & Hole www.mercerhole.co.uk. Liz qualified as a chartered accountant in 1997 and a chartered tax advisor in 1999. Based at the Mercer & Hole's London office, she provides tax planning for wealthy UK and international individuals and their families. She advises on issues of residence and domicile, particularly where clients are moving to the UK and require effective structuring of their affairs both in and out of the UK. Liz also advises offshore trustees in relation to offshore structures and the tax issues affecting UK resident beneficiaries. Additionally, she advises on inheritance tax and effective succession planning for family wealth. She is involved in cross border advice and works with our international network, TIAG, in relation to that.

She is a director of the firm’s trust company, Mercer & Hole Trustees Limited, and advises on trust related matters and appropriate planning with the use of trusts in a client’s overall circumstances.

Liz trained with KPMG in Hamburg and then gained experience in both the profession and a private equity firm before joining Mercer & Hole in 2006, becoming a partner in 2009. She is a fluent German and Italian speaker and her clients include many from those jurisdictions.
