George Buckley is Nomura’s chief UK economist. He was previously Deutsche Bank's chief UK economist, also covering Scandinavia and Switzerland. He spent 18 years at Deutsche Bank having joined in 1998 as an analyst, following a PhD at the University of Bristol (housing and mortgage markets). While at Bristol, he lectured and taught tutorials in macroeconomics and econometrics. He is also author of What You Need to Know About Economics.
