The European Commission has launched a fresh call for members representing business or tax practitioners with cross-border VAT experience to join the EU VAT Forum
The Forum, set up by the European Commission in July 2012, is made up of representatives from the member states and a maximum of 15 organisations representing business or tax practitioners. The term of office of the current members expires on 30 September 2015.
Now, the Commission is looking for European or international businesses and tax practitioners organisations representing business interests from large, medium or small enterprises in a pan-European environment in EU VAT issues.
The members must be actively involved in the practical management of the EU VAT obligations for taxpayers operating in an EU cross-border context.
Organisations already designated as members of the EU VAT Forum may ask to have their term of office renewed after they have responded to the new call for applications.
The closing date for applications is 20 March 2015.
