ICAEW and the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) are organising an event next month to mark the publication of the key FRS 102 accounting standard.

The regulator says FRS 102, 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland will transform financial reporting in the UK as it replaces the majority of current accounting standards with one comprehensive standard.

The launch event will focus on the background to the development of FRS 102 with a panel discussion looking at topics including the benefits of the new UK GAAP, how FRS 102 will impact public benefit entities and their SORPS, and related international developments.

The event takes place on 15 May 2013 from 9.00 to 11.00 at the ICAEW in Moorgate, London. To register for the event, clickHERE
